Macbeth At The Met Opera In NYC

Reed performed in The Metropolitan Opera’s production of ‘Macbeth’ in New York City, where he played the First Murderer and Lennox the nobleman. The Opera was simulcast in HD to theaters worldwide. Macbeth was an elaborate production and huge success that ran for fifteen performances over a six month period. This adaptation of Verdi’s ‘Macbeth’ was directed by Adrian Noble, an award winning director who’s recent credits include ‘Hamlet’ at the Stratford Shakespeare festival.

“…Some of the scenes were stunning, especially Banquo’s final moments as he and his young son walk through the forest, realistically portrayed by several murderers who confront and slay him with cunning, menacing and savage intensity on a diagonal across the Met’s stage.  Another great visual is the carrying of King Duncan’s body to downstage center by his noblemen after he’s been murdered…”
